I have never seen anything written in that style before. I like it, it's almost random at times, but manages to merge together coherently enough that you see the invisible string the words hang on, keeping them on a path.
I was surprised to discover, through reading this, that I apparently have Miki/Nanami shipper tendencies. They really would be sweet together. He has the compassion of Tsubawaki, but the age and wisdom the boy lacks. They'd complement each other well. She needs someone gentle to love her, she just doesn't think she's worthy, IMO.
The order of course of events at the end was interesting. Slightly confusing for a minute, but it was interesting to go back and see her thoughts between leaving Touga and killing the cat (horrifically!). The way they became darker and darker was quite sinister.
It's odd, this story was on the first Utena page, an archive of a good 950 stories, yet it says it's four years old. Perhaps a rewrite that for some reason FFN didn't note? Oh well, regardless I hope you still enjoy getting feedback for your work, no matter how old it may be.

I loved this fic. It was a great intro into the mind of Nanami, my favorite character aside from Juri. No one I know likes Nanami but me, but I bet this fic would change afew minds.

Ooh, good stuff. When I saw the show, I never got to like Nanami, the twists surprised me, but still...I didn't like her. So, now you've gone and made me do it when I swore I wouldn't. This was very well written, and I think it fit in well with the feel of the anime. I'm glad I found this, now I'll have to go read the rest of your stories!

I enjoyed this piece a lot. Nanami is one of my favorite characters from Utena. I've always felt that her character was misunderstood. Many fans of the show dismiss her as cruel and binding to her brother, but if you've seen the show you come to understand how Touga her"oniisama" is far, far worse. Especially to her. I fell that the author expressed the character's feelings and relationships accurately. The way that the piece was formatted made me think of actual thought patterns. It was very nice.
