You touched on an influence in Kakashi's life that is generally ignored. I like the way you wrote it. I've always thought that taking on some of Obito's traits was Kakashi's personal homage to him. I never really considered what issues he might have with the sharingan until now. Good job.

Nice descriptiveness in the beginning where the breeze 'sent wavelike ripples through the tall grass'. It set the scene very well and fit Kakashi's introspective mood nicely.
Kakashi's uncertainty about his sharingan eye was refreshing - he's usually so lacksadaisical around Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura.
Very well done!

That's an interesting ficlet. I'd like to have seen a little more of Kakashi's thought process. How does what Yondaime says to him make things clearer for him? What did he really think of Obito? Was he really as disdainful as he seemed to be in the Gaiden? Or was there something more to it? And how does Kakashi come to realize that something more?

You know, I don't know what the big deal is about Yondaime's real name...Kishimoto-sama pointed it out to the fans clever enough to be able to read chicken-scratched kanji. :D
