I stumbled on this story randomly and I'm quite glad I did.

Very interesting.

It's the literary equivalent to a sketch - quick, bare outlines, a solid structure not built upon too much. I really did like it.

Oh my Gawd... Wow. This was so powerfully written... Man. Wow! This was so beautiful. I loved it. This is seriously the best Kagome&Kouga story I've ever read. I love how easy it was to understand and also how confusing it was at the same time (which probably doesn't make any sense!)

But what happened at the end? Did she leave and did he destroy himself or did she stay with him? Either way, I loved the anguish and the sorrow they both endured throughout the years. It was - like I said - such a powerful piece. It was awesome.

I really hope you read this review (seeing as this one-shot appears to be quite old now) as I really want you to know how much I loved it. It certainly made an unforgettable impression. This is going straight on my Favourites List!

WOW. This was amazing. I loved how you captured Kouga and the words you used were just great. Awesome job!

Considering how old this piece is, my only hope is that you still are around to know that you've deeply touched this writer with this lovely bittersweet piece.

This was so good. Ack. Bittersweet. It captured the tone of his yearning so well. And the way she kept stumbling back to him over the years was... believable. Given the circumstances, that is. And I appreciate how you kept their true feelings intact- she never really loved him the way he loved her.

I liked this story, much to my surprise. It really goes along well with the idee fixe definition. It almost reminds me of Berlioz Symphony Fantastique with the way Kouga tortures himself, and how Kagome keeps denying- almost to the point of being evil.

So I have to ask, how does it really end? Does she stay and admit what she really feels- what was shining in her eyes? Or does she stubbornly continue on her way?

It bothered me- in a really good way- how I could almost relate to both characters. I think that says a lot for how you tell the story- even with all the time jumps. They're easy to follow. Please keep writing more KougaxKagome fanfics. They're not my typical fav couple, but the way you wrote them kept them relatively close to their anime counterparts. What if you wrote a SesshoumaruxKagome fanfic? maybe not so angsty, but true to their characters. See, I tend to read a lot of those, and sometimes the way some authors portray Sesshoumaru makes me wonder what all he did to give that much away. I think you could do them justice. There are too many "Inuyasha betrays Kagome with Kikyou and so she runs off and bumps into Sesshoumaru" type stories. They also tend to paint Kikyou as a ** or just utterly evil, but Kagome doesn't really think of her that way. She kind of pities her, and obviously knows Inuyasha still has feelings, but Inuyasha doesn't seem stupid either, he knows that he wants to avenge Kikyou, but I don't think he's still in love with her, maybe just in love with the fact that she was one of the first few that cared about him, made him a little more hospitable.

Anyways, I thought that since you did a kick @$$ job at keeping the core quality of Kouga and Kagome, that maybe you would be one to do the same with Sesshoumaru and Kagome.

Just a thought!

Thanks!

I like this. A lot - it's really good and it's got that catchy line that's so dashing (I must say, 'He'd never wanted to live forever anyways,' is a catchy way to make someone read your fic.
