Nice story. I see Mayhew and Victor have some sort of a close relationship. I'm writing a story too, and it's a mix between Corpse Bride and the Nightmare Before Christmas. It's called The Corpse, the Witch, and the Boogieman. But look in Nightmare Before Christmas, not in misc. movies!
