Oh that is just so Saito! (sigh) That wolf really knows how to get your heart going! He is just too awesome. I am impressed by how well you could describe the wolf in so few words! I almost cried and I certainly did squeal in delight. My son gave me a weird look when I did! lol

This is another lovely piece... you'v done Tokio very well... given we know next to nothing of her... she would logically be the counterpart of Saito..
Once more, the drive to the fic makes it very appealing, as does Tokio's repeatedly remembering her husband...
The bond between them and the obvious love shows nicely here..

I like your choice of moment-this is one of the more revealing of Saitou's character, and you've caught it well. It's tricky, touching the part of Saitou that is "normal", that is about something other than battle and duty, but you've managed it with believability and poignancy.
I particularly liked his thinking that he _had_ to return, acknowledging that he had been "away so long"-I liked thinking about him having a small part of himself that is truly bonded to Tokio and to that part of his life. Somehow, the fact that he keeps this so nearly completely hidden, protected, if you will, from the eyes and intrusions and opinions of others, makes it all the more powerful.
