I think you did a awesome job for someone who has never played the game. Only one I can't tell if you nailed or not is Patty since I played the Xbox version, and she wasn't in that one.

No, certainly NOT a nanny; I'd love to see this version of Harry-raised by Severus Snape, John Watson and Sherlock Holmes-rip a swath of deduction and destruction through all of Hogwarts, Dumble's intricate manipulations and plans for the 'Greater Good' included.
I have a mental image of the scene in Dumble's office where Snape, Watson and Holmes are having a parent-teacher conference, along with 'Uncle' Mycroft-and Dumble's shock when he realizes that as much influence as he has in the wizarding world, he can't push around Harry's family in the slightest. I also rather suspect that Mycroft will have introduced Harry to Her Majesty a time or six, and will suspect-if not know all about-the prophesy, and be 'taking steps'.

After the events of seventh year, Harry found he had stopped aging, while his friends grew around him. Ginny moved on, and Ron and Hermione were left.
Hermione started working for the Government, and became M.
When Bond broke into M's apartment after his 'death', he met Harry.
Harry watched Bond go to Shanghai, and stayed hidden when Javier appeared.
When Bond kidnapped M, Harry followed.
And so the events of Skyfall gradually changed.
...Or something like that XD

I have so many feels now...
This was so well written, how you related Rita's canon story to Harry becoming her, the why and how of the interactions between Rita and each member of the team.
I just loved he shift of perceptions, how it flows from Harry into Rita's body to simply Rita and the questions about how it would be for the two of them in their own bodies.
I feel like the theme of "mirror" was extended to the whole story :-).
It was just awesome as always.
