Well, it seems a little OOC, I can't see Ponyboy bawling like that, but he is in intense pain, shock and very afraid, so it explainable. And it's only a little OOC, not so bad as to make one cringe.
And I feel I must disagre with a earlier review. They said that it was highly improbbable if not impssible to be paralzed from being backhanded into a door. A)Darry was angry and worried which produces adreniline which can give a man the strength to lift a car. B) Darry lift roofing bundles all day up and down a ladder, so he's strong to begin with. C) A door is basically a long very pointed solid object. Although it may not be enough to damage Pony's spinal cord it could probably break a vertabre if he hit it at the right angle and with enough force.
D) I know a man who died because he was backhanded into a bar counter. The human body is an amazing thing - but very fragile.
So - I think that your fic has a good beginning and is definately probable. And even if it wasn't - Hey! It's called FICTION for a reason! You can do whatever you want! With whomever you want! :)
Please continue this fic. It shows definate promise!
