A delightful chapter of what might have been with the dune/star trek saga. Loved how Paul put the pieces together and the tour of the Polo. The end of the chapter had a nice peek at a possible future. Thank you for continuing this tale.

Aw gosh you ruined all the way down the ending of a great book. Hope you feel proud now you moron. Certainly books are a very dangerous thing, we should not give them to kiddies like you who believe better than their authors by copycat them and cutting and pasting their own idiocy. Maybe we should burn them like in Fareneheit 451 (a great book none of you spacebutlers can equal in all your pestiferous work). Tsk, the age of internet has brought new tomfoolery. Instead of call this "To Boldly Go" we should call it "To BORINGLY Go" since nothing interesting happens since chapter 1. All you do is put on shame a masterwork of SF you couldn't equal with an original work of your own even if you lived twice the life of an immortal (and I'm not referring a flathandler!) with the non-sense and ennui you spacebutlers are so full of. Tch, let's hope the multiversal theory of Dan Simmons' "Olympos" (another great work even with its inherent flaws, preserved from fools like you due to the rules of this site)is not true, otherwise you and your kin is spreading a manifold of foolishness. :P

A great climax to the series with all the little things the crew of the Polo did to change the details of this confrontation, but not the overall events of it. A very fun read.

I continue to love this blend of Trek and Dune that lets the latter's story unfold, yet not in a way that it is unaffected by the presence of Garibaldi, his crew and ship. I also enjoyed how Paul's sister now has hope of a cure and wasn't specifically identified by the time news of her reached the Captain.

PAUL SEEMS ABIT MORE ON THE PISSEDOFF SIDE THAN IN THE ORIGIONAL BOOK BUT IT'S O'K.LIKE HOW ALL THE PLAYERS GETTING THEIR HEADS HANDED TO THEM ,THE GUILD,ROYAL COURT,ETC. ARE EYING THE FEDS WITH CONTEMPT KNOWING THEY CAN DO NOTHING TO THEM.WAITING FOR MORE.
