This was great! A very nice reminder that Nick still suffers from being buried alive. Nick's my favorite character as well, and I was infuriated with the writers of CSI for not delving into more of Nick's feelings and how he was doing mentally after that horrific experience. You did a very good job writing this; I loved how you put it all in present tense, allowing the reading to sympathize and experience this with Nick. Again, lovely story; you kept the story realistic and Nick in-character, which some writers tend to forget. I certainly hope to read more of your stories!
