OH! Interesting take. I never once thought Donny was playing Bobby. He seemed genuinely upset to see Bobby there. Worried about him. I was assuming he was trying to help. He wanted to give Bobby a reason to stop the charade. He's a kid and got scared. That and/or he told Frank, hoping he'd do something. Donny was wanted. I don't know. It just didn't occur to me that Donny could be a bad guy. It's a different perspective. :)

i haven't given up on donny. i think, based on the show, he called frank to tell him bobby was in danger, and frank was the one who fouled up. maybe donny knows so little about his dad that he didn't realize frank wouldn't help. and donny would have been afraid to go to the cops himself because they might have sent him back - just like they did before.
i do like your story, though. this is a very tender scene between alex and bobby. i'd love to read more!

Good stuff! I wish the tv ep would've shown us the B/A reunion when he got out of that joint...oh well.
I'm glad that Alex was included in his plan..along with the other MCS guys...and that Bobby didn't just go off on his own and exclude her as he's done fairly often these past 2 seasons...andfunny when Ross asked who else and she answered "aside from you and me." I think it make Ross realize that his other detectives feel a certain loyalty/allegience to Bobby -maybe he's not the outcast among his fellow det.'s that we've assumed all along?

Well, I have to admit I'm completely baffled at where this anger at Donny is coming from, but I loved seeing a hospital bedside scene that they really should have crammed into their not really extended length episode. The worst part of the show was that Eames didn't ride in the ambulance with him. But I digress. This is beautifully written. Thank you.

Hmm.. I really didn't take it that way. If anything, I thought Donny escaped to go get help for Bobby. Yes, Frank played him, but I don't think Donny did. I'm quite looking forward to seeing their relationship develop, actually. This is really well-written, anyway. :-)

Quite excellent! Your writing is so clear and precise. I was totally blindsided by some of the things I saw in this episode. I definitely agree with your statement at the top of the story about Eames having redeemed herself. I feel so sorry for Bobby here, but I like how Eames is at his bedside just like he was at hers. You captured Bobby being on the edge very well... he very rarely expresses sadness, but he was really coming unglued in this episode. There was something definitely very childlike about his fear and his anger later. And yeah... Frank is a grade A **. Drugs'll do that to a man. Great piece. Miss ya.
