I like your descriptions a lot. they give off a nice and detailed feeling, it makes it much easier to picture the image than usual.
Outside of that, I'm a big fan of Tifa & Aerith ( I simply refuse to use Aeris, personal preference ) in KH too, so this make a nice little shot.
The one thing that I didn't like was the repeative use of "She knew" in the first few lines, but that aside, it's good work.
