Gimli's songs made me laugh haha. I can imagine him as a little stentorian dwarf driving his father crazy! Thank you =)

The hilarity of GIMLI singing Girl Scout songs is indiscribible.

A golden topped mountain at sunset was certainly heartening to visualize, especially since gale force winds and flooding has engulfed my home-town recently, and certainly lifted my spirits.

I loved the section with Gimli, particularly the fact that he was willing to put his affection for Legolas before his desire for gold. I don't think may friends would do the same (especially dwarven ones)!

That has always been one of my favorite poems. The last line reminds me of the Elves leaving Middle Earth...nothing gold can stay.

Other than the bitterweetness of that thought, I loved this chapter! Elrond's patience and wisdom in allowing Anomen to learn what he truly valued was especially well done. Gimli at the end of the story was a treat. This is going right into my favorites.

Aww, now that was a good ending. (gave me warm fuzzys! ^_^)

Very nice, there is magic in your workings...they never fail to conjure a smile on my face. A pleasure to be sure. best wishes always.

Ah... what a lovely chapter... :) So wise, and I do love the way first Legolas, then Gimli, was led to wisdom through logical discourse. The best way, after all, to teach... Thank you so much for this lovely tale!

One guess as to which song I'll be singing all day now! I remember singing it many time in Brownies and Girl Scouts and loved it then. It seems so appropriate to Legolas and Gimli.

The descriptions you wrote of the mountain made it come alive for me and I can see it perfectly in my mind; just as clear as Elrond and Anomen did that first day. Thank you.

And then we have Glorfindel and Anomen again. Yay! The balrog slayer tries to be so gruff and he is a big old softy where Anomen is concerned (for the most part). Of course I'm sure he worked him twice as hard the following day in training to show his stern side!

And to think he thought Anomen was trying to bribe him! *snicker* That was probably the last thing on Anomen's mind - all he wanted was to get back to the mountain and show it off!

You know how much I love your Anomen stories and to see the interaction between Anomen and Glorfindel. And Erestor too. He's another that tries to pretend to be gruff!

More Anomen please!

The interactions between Arwen and Anomen were so sweet! I really liked this story, it was awesome! Please continue any elfling stories if you can. Until next time!:)

Aw, this is so cute! I like your characterisation of Anomen/Legolas; both his good points and his faults were brought out in a humorous way. Your grammar and spelling is impeccable as well; I would definitely be looking out for more of your work. Kudos to a job well done!

I particularly like the interaction between Anomen and Glofindel as well.

Little Anomen is quite the clever elfling! I wonder though, did no one in Imladris except Arwen notice he was missing? Seems he would have been tracked and found. Otherwise, this was a very entertaining story.

Very nice. the interplay between Anomen and Arwen was absolutely precious. discovering tender side of the Balrog-slayer was nice as well. I printed both this story and the previous one-shot and handed them off to My best friend and and her girls (their computer is down) she said to say thank you and tell you they all enjoyed the stories as well. so you get four gold-stars from us all!

poor Anomen. it seems that he's always getting captured by Southrons.

ugh the image of Elrond being forced to pour wine for that awful Southron was a horrible one. made me shudder, good job. :)

Glorfindel is so funny! all his dissembling... not wanting to actually come out and say "please don't tell anyone you found my arrow" but determined to make sure that Anomen keeps it quiet. lol!

very good story, glad to hear there's another chapter coming... the only thing that could have made this one better was some Elrond eyebrow action.

Oh, thank you for this! And there's another chapter to come? YAYY! Calloo, callay! :)

Can you tell I like your writing? Especially the Anomen series? :)

The chapter makes a fine standalone, but one thing strikes me (and has done throughout the series). Glorfindel is such a wonderful surrogate father, though I do realize Elrond fills that role most strongly here. But Elrond has his sons and they are dark of hair like their Ada... while Glory has Anomen and they share their golden hair. And of course there was the previous story where Glorfindel dissembled that Anomen was actually his son... all very good and sweet, it feeds the need each has to be a father and all to be sons.

But what really hits me is what Thranduil gave up in his grief, and what he can never recover even when the truth is known and they are both reunited and reconciled. His son is smart, kind, caring, wily, clever, and wonderful... and he gave that all up under sorrowful circumstances. :( Poor Thranduil... poor Anomen... such things always make me so sad.

I'm glad it all works out in the end... and I am delighted that there will be another chapter. :) Thank you!

As usual you nailed it you are defiantly one of my favorite authors I look forward to receiving notice of a new story or chapter from you.

I enjoyed the interaction between the savvy elfling and the overconfident Southrons; he led them into the prefect trap for beings with such little regard for others. Thanks for adding in a scene between Glorfindel and Anomen, the only thing wrong with it was it wasn't long enough!

Thank you also for taking time out of your busy schedule to write for us we do appreciate it!
