I came across the story years ago and loved it at once. Finally I get around to tell you. You made me cry, grin sillily, sigh happily and laugh out loud. All more than once. I loved the additions and twists to some episodes and actually the C/7 thing makes a lot more sense the way you described it. Well, as much as it can make sense anyway. Your add-on to Homestead was beyond heartbreaking and the ending to the story just perfect.
I LOVE this story, and now that it's in my favourites I just know I'll come back to it regularily.

well done. I stayed with it form chapter 1 to the end and I must say I loved this story. I was at first very angry about Seven and Chakotay but you made up for it with enough angst to last 11 chapters. Well done. :~)

This is a very good story. I really like what you did. I think you explored the bond between the Captain and Chakotay deeper than any other story I've seen. You've explored their feelings and like said dug deeply. I always felt that had a deep bond and you did that well.

his back & forth is really driving me nuts!
I do like Seven but the way things flowed in the 7th season sure stuck in my craw!
I do hope things here are simply not just background to the canon storyline!

I was extremely frustrated at the relationship between Chakotay and Seven when watching Voyager and felt those same frustrations while reading here...but only because your writing made it believable. I kept hoping for a J/C ending and when I finally got to it, I was amazed at how good it was.
You did a fantastic job capturing the emotions and motives for Janeway and Chakotay. I especially liked the scenes with Janeway and Paris and how you captured his influence and friendship with her. I still wish there were more stories about their friendship rather than a romantic involvement. Oh well.
Good work and I hope you keep writing.

You are an amazing author! I went through such a range of emotions while reading this story. At first, I was so happy that it seemed like they would work things out with Chakotay and not have to have the relationship with Seven. But that didn't happen and I found myself getting very angry at Chakotay and angry at Kathryn for just not loving each other. At one point, I wanted to review and just tell you that I hated this story and that Kathryn should be with Chakotay, not Seven! I almost stopped reading, but I was compelled to go on and hope for a happy ending.
I then forgot that Neelix leaves the ship and had a crying fit, which continued up until Chakotay's "death". I could feel her pain at loosing her love and it was painful for me as the reader. But I sided with Tuvok, knowing that something was wrong. I wept tears of joy as they finally kissed and gave up those parameters for love. A love that they both deserved. You are one of the best writers that I've ever read! Thank you so much for giving this story for others to enjoy! It's a timeless classic story of love and heartache, but always love. AMAZING!

This was the best "ending" I have ever read. You truley are talented. I loved the length of the stoy. I was so frusterated at one point, then the suspence was killing me. I was crying and lauphing too. I was completely caught up in this story. Excellnt job please write more!
