Hah- wow. Just, wow. I came here looking for good fanfiction on this series, and damn, have I found it here. You put thought into these characters. Just, wow. Kara was realistic, and every character reacted to the Oath in many of the ways that children could be expected to, and in the end, they all found something in it. My only bit of curiosity is over the twychild (twychildren?). I definitely remember there being something about twychildren having to be fraternal, since they sais something along the lines that only fraternal twins were close enough and yet still dissimilar enough to double each others' magic. That, and why a Voice? Why not a book? Just curious is all.

Wow, the last two chapters are good. I think you should expand some of these to full stories. I also think that while wizard help the world, wizardry helps the wizards. The magic and the powers give back in a way.

Well if Greg becomes a wizard he will either grow up, because taking care of his brother is part of taking care of all life, or die on Ordeal. Sure his life sucks in some ways, my life could be lots better too. EVERYONES life could be better, rich kids often end up spoiled and on drugs, poor kids often end up selling drugs. Life is not fair, life is not easy, life is a challenge, life just is, deal with it.

I do not like how the "adult" wizards inducted her. One of the best things is wizardry is all about choice. Anna had at least part of that choice taken from her. But I bet her ordeal happens in the ocean.

Also a good one, sometime rules should be broken or at least bent.
It would be fun to read a story about a young wizard who talked to all the animals in a city. All the squirrels, stray cats and dogs, pigeons, etc. Such a wizard would have an army of sorts to do good with in that city. Imagine a pack of dogs that broke up a mugging, cats that clawed a rapist in the privates just before he did the deed, squirrels that picked up all the litter in a park and put it in trash cans, birds that found lost kids and lost things...
In the ordeal the Lone Power could be working through a crime king. The wizard and the animals could stop him. After a while the people of the city could notice the acts of the animals and at least set up feeding stations, maybe more.

Cool, now why are Chris and Rachel going thru Kara's things? Or do they do this to each other too? Amy seems nice and I bet Kara even if Chris and Rachel were not wizards has finally found a home, if she can accept it.

These are /GREAT/. Great enough to actually make my lazy self leave a review. I only wish that they were more than one-shots- these ideas are far too good to be left to those. Still, though, honestly, thank you for writing these.

From what I recall about Twichildren, they do have to be fraternal. I think the differences between fraternal twins are what allow them to bounce the power back and forth and magnify it? I seem to recall one of the twins explaining that the brains of identicals are too similar for it to work as well.
