Cute. Characters were.well done. You have a talent for writing action scenes, something many struggle with. One major turnoff, your use of Japanese. Though you show knowledge of the words meaningyour usage comes off as inauthentic. The only word that adds anything is the sword being called a kitana as this is the type of sword. Others could be replaced with English & not detract from the story If you use foreign words study carefully their authentic usage, not just the meaning. Good work!

Yeah, it's a tad too fluffy and I really can't see these two saying such things at this point. But I do appreciate how you kept the dialogue for the most part feeling like a historical Japanese manga. The way they spoke felt natural, at least before the violent fluff.

As a huge fan of BoTI and also Rin/Manji I can't believe it took me this long to read and review your story. I really wished it had been longer, but great job nontheless. I hope you write more about Rin and Manji.
