Okay, it's not your fault, but what in the world is with all the JAG fanfiction writers who are ostensibly writing romantic Harm fics and their complete and unaccountable fixation on his grandmother? A woman I might point out that had almost no mention or screen time in the ten years of the series itself? When I want to read a romance I don't want to read a grandmother Mary Sue character as a central figure in it. If this didn't seem to be a fricking pattern in JAG fanfiction I'd just say oh well and skip it but it keeps coming up again and again. I am so disappointed to see it again here. I have nothing against grandmothers but jeez, seriously! I wish I had a nickel for every JAG fanfiction that is moving along nicely and then Harm utters those fateful words: 'I can't wait until you meet my grandmother!' It's beyond ridiculous at this point. So I'm very upset at once again having a perfectly promising romantic fic bogged down in Gram country. Sigh. Rant over.

I'm just starting to read it and I do like it, but I am kind of distracted by the fact that the entire office was working on Mother's Day and that Mac hadn't seen Harm in almost a week which started the previous Wednesday. Since Mother's Day is ALWAYS on a Sunday this is really bugging me. The entire premise of the day is impossible. I realize that this isn't the point of the story but it is driving me nuts. Anyway, I just thought I'd mention it in case that helps you to think a little more about the setting/time of future stories more closely. Thanks. :)

I read this story all the way through. You wrote a wonderfully romantic story. It had the right amount of angst that resolved itself into the rightful happy ending.
