I just read your story... and it's something we Smallville fans have wondered about, since the character Doomsday will be introduced in Season 8! I really like what you’ve done with this! I think it’s brilliant, and would probably be true considering Clark’s nature and his need to be secretive, even with his fiance, the woman he loves and has proposed to! Will he never learn! The aftermath of his ‘death’ was very moving with Lois, Clark, and Martha..! Very, very sad..! But ... we get a happy ending, after all!
