Wow! What a great story! Once I started reading I couldn't stop, even though I'm at work! You made me ache for Nick, cheer him on when he clocked his dad, cry when the judge finally broke down, and both hate and love Sara when she left Nick. She was fabulous with the judge!
I thought your characterization was great, though it was tough to imagine Nick so young and Greg still so squirrely, but I thought you did an exceptional jon with Brass and Grissom. Oh, I wanted to smack that guy sometimes!
Jillian was a little mousy for me at first, but she found her voice :)
Your spelling and grammar could use a little extra attention, but I suspect you already know :). And it ended a little too quickly, in that I was hoping for closure for Nick with Mikey's case, to some extent. But we don't always get what we want, as Nicky knows!
All in all, this was a great story to read and I'll be looking for more from you!

You said it and was for real, all loose ends were tied up. Grissom and Nick (their relation is so strong that I can't get enough good fics about) Nick and Sara (since CSI S1, My heart was with them, and after more than 8 years that's what I believe. They have way much more chemistry than G/S but unfortunately tptb didn't think like that) Your story was an incredible journey through the emotional of my fav character.
I loved how you ended, like real life nothing is perfect, we can't just erase the past, the good or bad memories, the pain, the regret, the doubt, but we need to keep going wherever life take us making sure to do our best. I'm sorry also for not replying before. Life has been hectic, work has taken biggest part of my life but I'm not complaining. You know I've been following this fic since the very beggining and wouldn't let you down at this point, no way. This one was a needed chapter. Needed because after all Nick's character had been through and all his sad backstory with his dad, he deserved to meet a truly father love. Late, I know but emerging from a man that finally understood who was the wrong one in all of it and had conscience enough to ask for forgiveness. Beautiful chapter.

This was an amazing story. From beginning to end, I really liked the ending becuase it gives you a lot to think about and it wasnt just all resolved becuase in truth real life isn't like that but at least you gave Nick the first steps to getting better and having people by his side.

I've not been reading fics for a while now and on a whim I decided to check out the Snickers fics. I found yours. And I love it. I've read it from the very beginning up until this point, and I'm sad there aren't any more chapters for me to read right away! LOL! I guess I'll just have to be a patient girl.

Well! I guess I got lucky by not discovering this story until it was almost done. That way I didn't have to suffer through waiting for updates. :-)
I think you've done a very good job of combining a lot of elements here...the case itself as well as Nick dealing with how it relates to him and in turn how it relates to his relationship with his parents.
I'm not sure about the Snickers, but it was still written well. I hope she'll come back to him.
