What a wonderful scene between Janeway and Chakotay. I love how, despite the fact that they haven't known each other for long yet, already trust and care for one another. It was touching so see how the whole crew welcomed Chakotay back and I found it endearing that Chakotay seemed surprised by it - as if he wasn't aware he meant anything to anybody on the ship.
Wonderful story, I favourited it immediately!

This is good... I wish they included this in the episode, but I've noticed so many things were left out of the episodes- such as emotional impact to certain events: Janeway in Coda for example, or the endings like Cathexis was a bit abrupt.

Thank you for a great read! It seemed so very them, completely in character and it just reminds me what potential these two characters had. Stupid writers and season 7...
Anyway... The meaning of this part was close to perefection I thought, and I love that you didn't feel the need to explain it further: 'Her dark mane swayed slightly as she walked, and Chakotay was reminded of something, someone he could not immediately identify.'
