Psh. Like I care how long it takes you to write. Your stuff is awesome. No matter how much it changes, so stop beating up yourself. What did yourself ever do to you?
TO THE ACTUAL REVIEW!
A short chapter, but still pleasing to read. Alex's change in character is understandable story wise, as we still haven't seen much of him after Akzeriuth. Luke now compared to pre-Akzeriuth Luke is extremely OOC. I love his passive-agressiveness of advancing at Ion and then hiding behind him. *pats Alex on the head*
A bit sad that I didn't get to see Cat or Jaren in here, but hey, you're the author. And on second thought Cat is most likely busy hurling her guts out belowdecks. And Jaren being Jaren just HAS to be there to harass her since she (in her seasick state) can't beat him to a bloody pulp. ...Dang, now I want to write a short one-shot on that... I might, actually.
And (as always) looking forward to new chapters!

Cao's back! I almost fell over when I saw your post over on AC's site on the TOV FS subbing. First thing I did was check back here. Fufufufu... Jaren is remarkably in character. Cat is more or less so. I never noticed until now that she's actually a much deeper character than I intended her to be. ...I'm having problems seeing Gaki as... Sinister/mean/evil. Ever since you said the part about cat ears... I think he's... cuddly. w *is shot*
Regardless of all that, I really like this chapter. Cat and Asch are at each other's throats and Jaren is just sitting back and enjoying the show, Luke is no emo with Alex trying to stick up for him... Really cute, helping to reinforce the characters' relationships. ...At some point Cat's going to have enough of Luke's extreme emo-ness and just like... Repeatedly lecture him and possibly train *cough*beatthecrapoutof*cough* him.

At first, I didn't know what neko meant. But then I looked it up and found out that it meant cat! Or cat-like. Or something like that. Yea, I don't speak Japanese, sadly. Though I do speak a bit of Chinese.
These new villians joining with Luke's group, huh? Interesting, especially since they seem extremely reluctant to side with them. But I hope they do soon before Van does something sinister...again. Update soon!
