Interesting idea of Bobby leaving MCS. Hard decision. Wonderful how your Alex reacts. And Lewis, too. Like true friends. I like your stories because you write very fine, very sensitive B/A partnership. They know what they mean to each other.

Your stories are so wonderful. I love that you put a spin on them that is not the ususal - still in character, very easy to believe, but just in a slightly different direction that no one else pushes them to.
We all have had to leave work friends, even really important ones, behind when we or they moved on. You really summed up those feelings and fears.
I love the last line - and the sound of her crying breaks his heart after all.

This is so sad. I sure don't want Bobby to leave, but I don't believe he can take anymore abuse from the brass or his fellow detectives. Financially it will be a big boost for him. I was sorry to see that he believes all he and Eames share is Major Case. I think her crying at the end proves he was wrong about that. Lewis is very supportive. I love that he changes his mind when he realizes that it may mean no more Detective Alex for him. I would love to think they stay in touch, now free from NYPD regs they even start a relationship, but life doesn't always work that way. Bobby will have to find his own bearings apart from Eames. It may be the best thing for him. And she just may get that promotion.
