Oooh, this is brilliant. Write another one, please! It's such a good, I don't know, armchair read, I guess. To curl up with on a rainy day. Thanks for the story!

Found this excellent story via MEFAs and I'm glad I did. It's a good friendship/adventure tale. Too often it seems writers get these two characters a little off balance, forgetting that one is a Prince and the other a future King, but you've done a good job at avoiding the pitfall of making Aragorn suffer from vast feelings of insufficiency because he's not an Elf (his wryly noticing that Legolas is untroubled by the cold whereas he isn't is just right). You've also avoided any sort of superciliousness in Legolas. The story is about Elven strength but you don't show that at the expense of the strength of Men, and I for one appreciate that. Thanks for the fun read!

Hello there!
Wow! Amazing writing! I loved the description, as well as the emotion shown through the dialogue - Great work! I escpecially liked this line -
“My cuts will mend, Estel; a broken word would not.”
That was well written! Keep up the great work!

Mellon nin, I'm sorry I didn't find this soon after you posted it, but allow me to say that this was a beautiful piece. The storyline really displays Legolas' devotion to Aragorn and Aragorn's trust of him. The apparent friendship between them is heartwarming. I love the image of Legolas climbing with Aragorn strapped to his back, and the blood on his hands shows more of his love than words ever could. Of course I knew this would be good, seeing as it comes from you.
Great job, as usual! My favorite line: "Then I would be spared the grief of seeing you perish alone." I almost can't decide if its intense to the point of cheesiness or beautiful enough for tears, but I think it works!
I loved it!

Thanks for this beautifully crafted Legolas story. You've drawn out a whole new side of my favorite elf. Your writing is amazing. I am selfishly hoping you have time to write again soon.

Wow... geez, FREAKING WOW! you... YOU!
Legolass, you never, NEVER fail to amaze me with your writing, NEVER! And you have no idea the time I've just had.
My nose is runny, and truly, there's no reason why I should almost be crying because Aragorn didn't die, nor did Legolas! but d@mn, I was tearing throughout most of the story!
It was almost poetic, the vow, the strength of that elf, the climb, the swirling snow, Aragorn's fear... I don't know what else to say... Legolass, I know why I love certain writers so much, like you, it's because you paint the pictures so perfect, and so symmetrically flawlessly that there are no words that do justice to the appraisal of such beauty.
Like the picture you painted of the Royal bath in FTLOTLOTWT. And ever since I read that chapter, the description of such a wonderful place, all I ever thought is that if I do own a home, I would hire professional architectures to create such place in my back yard! lol... sounds silly?
Please take care, and lady, i was serious when i mentioned I wanted your first book!

How wonderful to see a new story from one of my favorite authors in my mail! I knew I'd love the story before I even read it...and I was right!
Aragorn and Legolas - I don't think I'll ever get tired of reading stories of their friendship, and of their love and devotion to each other.

OMG, that was a wonderful story. A handsome ranger who is cold, injured, in a seemingly hopeless predicament? That's not enough? Then you throw in a gloriously handsome, brave, and loyal elf to boot. You know how to push all the right buttons, girl. Seriously, this was an amazing adventure tale, a real nailbiter. As always your writing is impeccable and you manage to bring something new to the genre. All right, I know it's been said but these words really were so very touching: " “I vowed you would not fall,” he said, smiling. “My cuts will mend, Estel; a broken word would not.” Thank you SO much for writing again. This absolutely made my day when it came through. You never fail to amaze me. Hate this new word lim...hehe (it is annoying though isn't), though I've just now discovered that if you keep typing the words shows up anyway so maybe we really can keep writing long reviews. It's quite distracting, though, to have the screen moving the whole time you're typing! This story is definitely going in my favorites.
