I followed this story when it first started (reviewed under the penname "Piece of Toast") but never got around to finishing it... I'm definitely glad I came back to it though. I laughed so many times and have been on the verge of tears for countless others. I'll also admit that I was kind of squealing while reading this last chapter and was getting very excited over... everything, I guess?
This whole story is amazing and very well-written! It was very easy to imagine everything going on as it all seemed in-character. Even the little "anime-like" expressions often seen in the Teen Titans show were very believable and added a nice bit of humour to the story. I loved how you had an explanation for Danny's growing powers and didn't make him seem too overpowering for no reason and showed that he had his weaknesses. The part where he doesn't promise that he's coming back made me almost cry. I like how you used that simple idea from the beginning of the story and brought it through to the end. It acts sort of like an adhesive for the story (of course there are other elements as well that help with this.). The ending was certainly not something that most were probably expecting and I'm happy for that. It came as a big surprise but made sense and didn't seem far-fetched at all. After reading the A/N, I'll agree that this last chapter was emotional (I may have mentioned this already but, hey, it's 2am... I'm braindead as is. I guess that could be another reason behind my overexcitedness over this whole story... :) )
Congrats on a very successful story and I look forward to reading the sequel! Best of luck in the future as well!

How do you manage it? I mean, all of these universes and ideas! I am in awe with your talent. I can hardly fathom someone making a single story this great, and you not only made three with the same universe, you're planning for yet ANOTHER! I've seen great authors crack at one sequel, when the outcome got to their heads. It's especially inspiring since you've got other stories of equal status being created monthly. How you accomplish this, I will never know. I don't even want to know how much time you sacrificed for this, because then I would feel guilty about clamoring for MORE!... But it's sooooo goood! I can't help myself... What I'm trying to get at here, is that I admire your self-sacrifice and your talents. I can hardly wait for the next installment, for both Phantom City and Shinigami Phantom! Good luck!

Wow, this was an amazing ride...and there's a sequel! :D
I'll let you know that I've been up all night for the past few nights reading all of The Return and then Phantom City. I just couldn't stop reading. Your suspenseful style of writing and cliff-hangers (especially in Phantom City) are super effective (haha I'm going to smack myself for that random reference)! But yeah, this story was amazing - the characters were extremely in-character despite the crazy (and genius) plot they were all through into. I loved how Danny slowly developed friends with the Titans and the parts about his whole inner battle of Jump City feeling more like home than home. Also, the insane mist was described brilliantly; the way you illustrated his manic laughter and right side fading in his mental instability really sent shivers up my spine. Extremely original...character (or whatever that mist can be classified as), I must add. Same goes for The Keepers' personalities.
But I just can't get over how I could totally imagine all of this happening in the series (if Nick was cool and allowed crossovers with different channel's cartoons and allowed darker and awesome stuff like this :P ) - everything seemed to make complete sense and connected beautifully at the end, and the characters...they were developing throughout the story, but it was just crazy how they still sounded legit and like the characters we all know.
Lastly, you have officially locked me into this trilogy. This story alone is hands down one of the best (actually...maybe even *the* best) Danny Phantom stories I have ever read (and probably in my top five fanfictions, too). This story and The Return grouped together make this one even better (I'm happy to hear that you're redoing The Return by the way. I'll have to follow that :D). Thank you for sharing this freaking incredible journey, I'm definitely a fan of your writing now. I'll be back for the sequel!
