I really enjoyed this story! I'm impressed - not many can pull off a short-story romance without it being sudden, rushed, gooey and melodramatic, but you managed it. Great use of mechanics and plot. I also have to congratulate you on excellent grammar, which, sadly, many writers on here lack. In conclusion, good job! I encourage you to keep writing.

"They smiled at each other, saying nothing. But they didn't have to, they knew what each other was thinking. They were together, it was going to be hard, but maybe their relationship could set an example for everyone else. Maybe the whole issue between greasers and socs could be solved without the use of fists."
The ending was certainly my favorite part. This was a great story, I loved the whole thing.

Awesome fight between Ponyboy and Bob. I really liked the atmosphere with the circle of cars and other kids watching and cheering them on.

Ponyboy cooking Cherry green pancakes was funny, since it was mentioned in the book Sodapop cooking them for his brothers.
Also, bad idea for the Valance's to leave Pony and Cherry alone together for the weekened. I can almost guess were this is heading.
