He missed everything about his daughter bcoz he's a pompous ass , Bella wouldnt have contacted him since she would have assumed his lovely parents were humane enough to inform their prodigal son of his child but since the masen family seems to be genetically selfish , she's not to blame .. Plus no one forced Edward to skip town for 7 years and break up with a girl whom he promised forever to in a letter ..
