Your story is beautiful. It is a work of art. After I get done reading every chapter, I have to reflect and sometimes even cry. I thought I would tell you, that even though it has been a year since I finished reading it the first time, I still check every single day to see if it has been updated. And if one day I check, and it has, I thought I'd tell you that that would mean the world to me.

This story is absolutely beautiful.
I have read many, many stories on fanfiction over the years and, without a doubt, this story is my complete favourite.

I can't really describe how much I love this story, the beauty of the writing, the characters, the content. Beautiful. Most of all though I love your message. Everything happens for a reason, though we might not see it at the time, and even in the darkest places, somewhere there is goodness and hope.

Thank you so much for sharing this story. Thank you.

I am glad that Legolas has finally found peace and balance, and perhaps a calling? I can't help the feeling, however, of-for lack of a better word-uncompleteness. There is just too much that remains unresolved. His family, the fact he is still a slave... I also am looking for the sense of pride and nobility I always have enjoyed about Legolas. It is more present than it has been in the past, but he is not completely there yet. And no wonder, after all he has been through. I would love to see him choose freedom-complete freedom, both physically and emotionally. I guess it would be one thing to have the king release him, and another thing entirely for him to release himself, to claim for himself the heritage and nobility that is his by birthright and could never be taken away, regardless of what man did to him.

The scene where he has the staged battle with Vidugavia was descriptive and beautiful. I could totally see the sword dance, the grace and elegance of the fight. Your writing, as always, manages to bring the scene into my minds eye so completely. I love it!

This chapter had somewhat of a sense of finality to it, and so I am hoping it is not an ending. I know this story has been a long (and sometimes difficult) journey, but it is so wonderful I can't imagine it stopping here. Please, please, please write some more.

Ack! The long awaited pieces of the puzzle are now coming together. I love it , I love it, I love it! I am very excited about what is coming. I can guess at a thing or two, but I know you will probably still manage to suprise me. As soon as you mentioned the King of the Northman I had my suspicions, and now I find they were correct.

I nice long chapter. Wonderful! Poor Legolas' abuses seem to know no end, but then again, I have a feeling they may be coming to an end. Finally. I loved how the King instinctively picked up on the fact that Legolas' was keeping himself as a slave because he feared the implications of freedom. Sounds like a very perceptive King...hmmm, I wonder who he reminds me of. :)

I still hope we will get some kind of homecoming for Legolas. After all that has happened, I don't think Legolas will ever find true closure until he is able to fix things with his family. Don't know how you are planning on doing it, but I am sure it is going to be amazing! Can not wait!

Wow, as usuall your descriptions are quite vivid. I could really picture Legolas in his flashback. Like a hurt wild animal, not sure whether to attack or run away. I love how this story is coming together. What it lacks in details it makes up for in depth. You may be blurring through long sections of Legolas' story, but I don't feel in any way as though I am missing out. The important stuff is all still there. Absolutely loving this story. On for more...

Did Legolas just run away? Wow, about time. I know he made a promise, and more than likely he will turn himself back in, but still, a little freedom will do a whole lot of good! I was honestly wondering there for a minute if you were going to have the little boy be a young Aragorn. It sounds like maybe he is from Rohan however. Another wonderful chapter, and I am off to read more...

You do so well combining light and beauty with dark and despair. Too much of one, and you have a lighthearted fairytale without any depth. Too much of the other and you find your spirit filled with gloom and heavyness everytime you read. Your story has the perfect amount of both.
I love your physical description of Legolas. His body is broken, dirty, wasted and dying, and yet his spirit is shining all the more brightly and beautifully. Another contrast that is done superbly well. I can't wait to read on into part three, which will hopefully include Legolas' return to freedom and...dare I hope...home?

Great job Mia. Excellent work!

Ahh man. I knew it couldn't last. I wonder what you have in store next for our poor little elf. At least he helped shape three children into better people. It is interesting to see how he is touching lives everywhere he goes. On to the next chapter...

What a beautiful chapter. I am reminded again why I love this story so much. Your descriptions are so bright and powerful, it feels as though you are standing within the scene, watching it all happen. I am so glad that Legolas finally found a home where he is treated well and loved. It is a much needed break for this young elf. Still, there is a sense of incompleteness. Legolas is not yet the elf we all know and love, and I wonder what other trials and tribulations await him. Keeping this short, because I am going to go read some more...

Omg, I've probably already reviewed this but I re-read chapter 25 whilst waiting for the next one, but it's so so good! You're probably one of the most skilled writers I've ever read in fanfiction, and your style of story-telling is so lifelike and realistic for this genre. I am absolutely DYING to read more, I've probably checked for updates every day since March, can't wait for the chapter count to reach 26

This story is beyond wonderful to read. You captured Tolkien's essence within your words and the atmosphere is incredibly novel-like that it honestly shocked me to read something of this caliber in fanfiction.

Legolas's character development from haughty-naive prince who seemed to be so painfully young to the wise and ever-compassionate creature that you see in LOTR, has been painted so vividly, it was a joy to read.

I began reading this at midnight and it's now 9am in the morning, it seems i couldn't stop reading till the last chapter. I can't tell you how upset I was when i realised there was no more to read. I cannot wait to see what you have in store for our beloved elf and what has happened in Mirkwood.

I saw you only just updated last month so it's still a relatively active story so I'm definitely filled with hope that the next chapter will be up soon.

I thank you for sharing this.

I eagerly await your marvelous writing.

Your ardent reader.
