I found it very hard to find "readable" stories in this fandom and yours is the first I actually finished reading and ending up quite liking it. You even had me giggle every once in a while and the story in itself was very good. Just like an actual episode. Liked the action. Though, I could do without the romance stuff, it wasn't too overbearing and, I have to admit, kinda cute (I have to agree with USAFChief in regards to the pairing you chose).
Long story short, great story, I really liked it and thank you for sharing it!

Okay, I'm bad. You sucked me in to this story, and I'm reading it when I should be working. Shame on you. ;-P Seriously, well done.
Again, great characterizations. I think you especially got the interaction between Ducky and Gibbs right on, and Gibbs and Tony when he came back from Autopsy. And Gibbs and Abby.
Not quite sure why they came back to the Navy Yard when the sniper was still out there, though. There wouldn't be an urgent need to get the bullet back to Abby, at least not as urgent as finding the sniper. Maybe I missed something, though... it is 2 am. :)

Very good start, seems like the beginning of an episode. I like the way you write the characters, you do a good job with their voices - not easy for most fanfic writers.
I do have one little bit of constructive criticism, or maybe just a point of confusion. I'm not sure why the time of death would be five to six hours previous. I would think that they would have gotten the call immediately after the shooting, after all, you couldn't really shoot up a Marine base without someone noticing. And with the drive time from the DC Navy Yard (where NCIS is headquartered) to Quantico being only about an hour... It's a small thing, I know, but it jumped out at me.
Looking forward to reading more! I'm allowing myself a chapter here and there as a reward for getting work done on a research paper. :) Thanks for making it an excellent reward/motivator! :-)

Exciting story and very well told. Good plot with very good dialog throughout. I especially liked the ending although Ziva/Gibbs is not a pairing I would normally like, this time it works very well. Quick paced all the way through.

Great storyline! The only thing i have to complain about is that I lost internet connection when I needed to see chapter 5 to find out if gibbs was ok! :( Nice job!
