Amused. It's not the first time I read this story, and probably, not the last, since I am wearing this website out by circling around and digging up the interesting (not black-and-white, not too adventurous, with balance of powers, unpredictable, psychologically charged, not too fast) stories, all of them up to the last. Chess game refers to the match played in 1984, and '1984' is name of the Orwell's antiutopia novel.

As many times that I have read this one shot, I still love it.
Right amounts of sexual tension versus tender feelings of an intimate nature.
