Chilling. I see a trend in the stories of yours that I've read. Power isn't worth it. At least that's what I've pulled from them. Sacrificing everything for an overall meaningless pursuit seems to be a recurring theme. Very good cautionary tales.

o.O - unexpected ending.
nice read. I like the serious tone, of this one and "An Unfinished Pokedex". Sometimes happy-dappy just don't cut it.
I'm also reading "Pokedex" and, in a way, it's scary how real it is. I could never think of things like that.

The first time I read this story, it gave me chills. Reading it again more than a year later, it did again. I'm honestly surprised this hasn't gotten more love.

I love that story. Your writing is well developed and it seems to me like it is an extended metaphor of what real pokemon players go through while playing the battle tower. it really showed the darker side of pokemon without being too depressing. 9/10 :)

Still say it'd be even better expanded out further - but I really like this. You did a good job of portraying just how hopeless the situation seems - rare to find a story that's still good despite a sad ending.
