I decided to read this based solely on the strength and quality of your reviews of Sara’s Girl’s Foundations. You write the best, most insightful reviews; they actually help me appreciate her words even more. It made me curious to read some of your own work. Full disclosure – I’m not a CSI fan and am not all that familiar with this fandom.
There was a lot here that I liked. I liked how the horror of the case they were working on, the fact that they could have been among the victims, led Nick to make some decisions he hadn’t been ready to make before. It was totally believable. I liked how you drew the distinctions between Nick and Greg’s personalities, and the clear differences in the way each of them expresses and verbalizes their thoughts and feelings. I don’t know these characters, but I could see that Nick is Nick and Greg is Greg.
There were parts of this that had the feel of a love letter – I don’t know...something about the intimacy in the words and descriptions made it feel that way. The many details made me feel like their relationship is one that has built over time, through shared experiences.
I hope you realize how good you are!

Oh, this was absolutely marvelous. (: Just gorgeous.
You have such a pretty way with words. It tingles under my skin and warms my blood; leaves me feeling rather comfortable and relaxed. (: It wasn't monotonous; rather, a luxurious drawl.
Loved it, again I must tell you.

How wonderful! Your diction is so refreshing in a world of simplistic, artless work. I'm so glad to see something that was thoughtfully written and carefully detailed without being over the top. It is so often I see these two declaring their love to each other in sweeping gestures and acting like lovesick puppies, but here everyone seemed in character and believable. And, oh, the imagery! I could see everything as you wanted me to but also take things away from this story. Absolutely perfect. I hope to see more!

Amazing! Sweet, sad, and lots of emotions inside.
Just one thing, you should put a slash warning in your summarize or you risk to be flamed by crazy psycho...

Wow. That was absolutely beautiful. Beautifully written. I loved the level of detail, and the hurt/comfort was perfect. Gorgeous work! There were a few spelling errors in a few places (including the story title), but, overall, amazing job!
