I think it would be really cool if you said something like:

"I...i think i'm in love with her" links voice trailed off. He braced him self for pit's out burst of laughter but none came.

"Don't worry," pit said looking into links blue eyes "We won't let her die."

I like how he finds Zelda there but you never mentioned him taking her to his house.

It's really good so far but there's one small issue. In the last chapter you said that link realized that pit was reading his diary. In this chapter, link was oblivious to it. Maybe you should make link take it away from pit and then maybe pit gets it when link is distracted with ilia.
