I love this story! I am teary eyed at it ending . . . It is wonderful in so many ways. I love the family. Thank you for the reconciliation of the brothers! This was a refreshing change of pace to read about a very different style of Edward and Bella. I found myself very engaged with the story early on and enjoyed each and every delightfully long chapter. I liked the gentleness of the story and following each step between Edward and Bella, from first glance to loving parents. Well done and thank you for such a pleasant interlude from the daily grind to a place where I could lose myself for a few hours of happy reading.

Hah. I loved this chapter. Really great. I was prepared to be upset that only Edward's book gave any instruction on what to expect from sex in a society that so clearly doesn't speak openly about it. I love the idea of a community of women coming together like this to share their knowledge.

I'm happy that Bella seemed to have a little more of a voice in this chapter. She stood up for herself. But man, I still can't help but think that Charlie and Edward are kind of zealots, and Bella's never been given the opportunity to explore what her other choices might be. Maybe that's wrong and it's not really the point of the story anyway... but it keeps niggling in my brain. Maybe you could write an alternative universe to this story that invents a Cannabean version of Rumspringa?

Hrm. I'm a bit bewildered by the whole antiquated gender roles thing. I just *do not* get it. I'm fine with people who choose to live their lives that way. It's their life and their business, but it rankles me when children are forced into a certain lifestyle. I suppose one could argue that Bella has the free will to choose a different lifestyle if she wants. But it doesn't really seem like she knows how to make decisions without a male authority figure, so I'm not sure that *does* count as free will. She has no voice unless a male gives her a voice, and that makes me incredibly uncomfortable.
