Long time fan of yours, first time review. This is by far the most amazing piece about Sol I think I have EVER read. I fall in love with him over and over and over again every time I read something of yours! Sol's tension when Ky finds him is so real, so believable. Agh. So great. Beyond great.

Well, after reading the entire thing, i'm once again jealous of how well you write. i was thoroughly entertained. and i can't ask for any more from any fic.

Finally!
Can't say much about grammar, you're way above my level. Though I noticed some very minor typing mistakes.
Ky's psychology is always an interesting perspective especially when public hails him as the "Savior of Mankind." Also, he's a kid, what could be going in his head when everybody puts their hopes on him?
This is where Sol comes in. Ky has a pure intention of saving people, not caring about recognition and attention, but with Sol he does, as if with him his holding on what was left on his yearning for parental love. Sol knows this, and shows his care for the kid in his own way. Though the two of them are different, they trust and respect each other.
So I must thank you for writing this fic that brings up Sol and Ky's bond. Starting from political tension, you made a fast-paced war story with both humor and drama. And also, this fic absolutely has depth because you don't actually pick a side that's completely right, or an antagonist that we should direct our hatred to. We see issues of war that deserves pity.
But best thing is, you show well how Ky can break a lot of rules with his heroism, you make Ky break the rule of always hating Sol and making him his stress pillow.
Well, Sol seem to be Ky's stress pillow after all, but not the one he punches but the one he rests his head on.

It's also a good mental image to picture Sol flying ala Superman carrying Ky. Nice chapter.

Amazing how the council still hang up on that one point of "you disobeyed orders!" even though so many more lives were saved by doing so. Geh.

Oh yes, Lois Lane=Ky Kiske, Super Man=Sol Badguy, LOL! The thought made me imagine things though, um, bad things.

Ky must be a little fatigued to care for Sol, and I began to think if Ky really talked that way. Anyways, I liked this chapter a lot and the limiter thing, the blocks in it must be really small, think about the headband's thickness... you like 'gingerly' a lot don't you?

But good job on breaking the cycle of violent reaction and dramatic lines from Ky. The way he talks to a Gear so is indeed refreshing variation, yet you made it very natural. The impact is there, even if his lines are nothing heavy and expected of Ky. A good portrayal of Ky's compassionate side: he is- supposed to be anyway.
And yeah, I'm nor an Overture hater but Sol's Gear form is...um..."crustaeceaus" and "meh..." So it's nice that you added/changed details plus the bloody claustrophobic battle.

So what's "Flaming Barbecue Eva02" essentially look like? =D All I heard about it was that it was an anthropomorphic dragon. Any pics I found on google was mostly about Order Sol, so I haven't seen Gear Sol yet. I don't think typing in FBE02 would pop up anything, sadly.

I just love how you describe the structures and decrepit ruins the events are taking place in. The wreckage and the the caves are creepy and scary, honestly.
I can't help but pity Ky in that situation, even if you don't make him cry anguished words, just by seeing him give out his commands to his troops and answer distressed soldiers are already enough to realize how much burden it is to him. To save both the lives of civilians and his soldiers in that kind of situation where he lead a "coup de tat" is a unimaginable responsibility.
That's why I love how you show how much Sol supports him in here. And I love how he trusts Sol as the older man takes up the lead in many situations.
Ang the Ky grab is god :D

Love how Sol is noticing other things and being impressed and not thinking about the fight while he's actually fighting because the mind really does work that way. Not something that people usually write about or even notice, but it's true.
Nu Sol~ Be OK~ ...Well, considering this is a prequel and he's in the game and in other stories, I'd say it's safe to say he's going to be just dandy. Cliffhangers are still evil, though.
