When I saw the summary of this story, I will admit that my interest was immediately roused. That being said, I am SO GLAD that I clicked the link. You have a very catchy writing style that keeps me hooked, and the fact that you combined Harry Potter with the original version of one of my absolute favorite fairy-tales gives you even more awesome-points! I love Hermione's character so far, and I can't wait to see more of Fleur. Keep up the incredible work!

LOL! Brilliant. The only thing better than treating Ron with negativity is treating him with indifference like the worthless idiot he is.
It's pretty rare for a Fleur/Hermione fic to get over ten reviews a chapter, so you're doing well! Far less reviewed fics have the same quality of writing or better, so I'll go out on a limb and say it's the originality of your adaptation of the fairy tale.
Draco as Hermione's father - I'm surprised, but it actually makes sense given that you need her dad to be materialistic and merely so-so with magic. (The latter requirement rules out Lucius, both requirements rule out Harry, Snape, Remus.)
Is Gabrielle in this story? Is Hermione's mother really dead? Please O Please let us not see any more of Ron, unless it's so that he plays a role as a target during an archery competition or something.
Are you going with Beaumont's version rather than the movie version? I hope so. But any deviations from the original storyline will be welcomed - this is an adaptation, after all.

I did enjoy the chapter though, its too bad Draco had to test fate. I suppose it isn't really his fault. He didn't know what he was doing, but if he did, then there wouldn't be a story.
Hermione is gonna freak when her father tells her he just bargained away her freedom.
I cannot wait to see how this unfolds.
