Wow, that really was a beautiful story. I could see Nick struggling with Warrick's death. Especially with Warrick not telling anyone about Eli.
I would like to think he would confide in Nick, but I guess he didn't.
I love how Eli just naturally bonded to Nick and him wiping Nick's tears away and telling Nick not to cry was just so sweet and heartbreaking at the same time.
I like that Eli was able to bring Nick the peace he was looking for.

Very nice theme of "let it go" all the way through to the end. You really write a Nick that is very believable and realistic. Your writing is very descriptive and heartfelt. Nice job!

Have you checked out my sequel yet? It's up now.

OH it's wonderful. You wrote this so well. You captured Nick beautifully and I could really visualize the actions.
The conversation with Tina was very good, very real. I kind of expected her to react to Nick with a bit of suspicion when she first opened the door. I liked how you described Eli waking up, that sounds very familiar to me. Grea job, girl!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention :-) It was very good. Authors have gone various routes with the whole Nick and Eli thing, but the one you took was quite good and, in my opinion, outstanding.
The first scene at the cemetery held great emotional resonance. I could not only picture Nick sitting at the grave, but I could feel how he felt. It made me feel lonely and a little sad. Nick had no closure and seeking it from a marble slab wasn't going to bring it. An outstanding scene.
The encounter with Tina and Eli was done simply yet very efficiently. The hug at the end gave this entire story a certain closure, perhaps the one Nick was seeking.
I know I'm gushing but I REALLY liked this. The use of "Let it go, man," injected the story with the spirit of Warrick and I enjoyed that. Awesome story. Oh, and I saw no problems with the English here. You have a solid grip on the language ;-)

Wow, that was perfect. For me at least. I could see the image of every single moment pretty clear in my mind. It made me wonder why the writers or producers never had the guts to introduce single moments like this in the show. Just some few minutes would have been more than enough to make the fans' expectations come true. Beautiful work.
