I don't know if you're from another country and use different blood sugar measurements but 250, you wpuld surely be dead. My sister ks diabetic type one and was nearing coma with a blood sugar of 30. Also, normally when somebody's blood sugar is messed up - it's usually high or low (my sister is anyway) but can fluctuate sometimes.
Another thing. Unless Harry woke up and said so, you wouldn't need to check his blood. You check and inject before bedtime with slow acting insulin. Sorry, I don't mean to be a smartass!
Other than that, you've got it pretty much spot on so far. Good job! :)

man, seems like he has some uncontrolled diabetes if it's 50 to 250 like that! that's low enough to be unconscious and then high enough for some bad things to start happening. never known anyone to have diabetes that rough, but i suppose it must happen to someone out there

From reading some of the comments I am guessing you are american and may have a differant rating system than the uk as having blood sugar levels of 200 means you should be dead my mum is diabetic and suffers type two her blood sugar is really high at 16 my blood sugar level is considered average at 4.3 so you might want to put a note about this in your story so us brits dont think your nuts
