Great story so far, yet one grammatic error really bugs me. Please do not be offended. the wording of the sentences, "He watched Ryoma closely. The way he ran, and hit the ball, Fuji noticed, that not once did, the boy remove his hat." is a little off and would sound better if it was reworded (ex: He closely watched the way Ryoma ran and hit the ball when playing, and after several minutes of observation, he realized the boy never removed his hat.) Besides that wording issue, the story was well done and appealing.
I hope you have not lost interest in this story and abandoned it, for I wish to eventually read the rest of your story.
