Wow, I really enjoyed reading this. The emotions and everything were spot on and you really got his character.

I'm not great at reviewing but I really liked this :)

oh my gosh. this is the most amazing MC/DA piece that I have ever read, and I'm not just saying that. It is really, truly such a work of art, because it doesn't rely on silly situations or characters acting completely out of character to make the romance work out. When each character exhibits the traits that make them such, and yet still you find a way to make the emotions make sense-that is what makes a truly remarkable piece of fanfiction, in my opinion.

Well, you've done it again!

Except you've more than done it. I mean, based on the other pieces of yours that I've read, I've seen you can write humorous pieces (Stork, oh Stork, you make me laugh with your H1N1), the 'formal style' writing, but this...this is something else. It's so serious, it has gravity, it's something that sort of makes you stop and think. It's not just one of those random things where people say 'this happened then this happened then they tripped and fell down on top of each other and both blushed then they fell in love.' This is all in their (well, more his, as it centers around the Dark Ace) head, and it's far harder to do, in my opinion, because the crux of this story is its emotions, and you're centering it on the two villain characters who are known for their overall lack of emotion.

It's a beautiful piece, whether you look at it from a character point of view, from a building-of-suspense point of view...it's so well written. I think it has to do with your diction (I have been having a total fangirl spaz attack about how amazing this story is, so I've switched into Spock mode and am analyzing all the elements that make this so amazing. I hope you don't mind). Seriously, the way you compare Dark Ace to a bird of prey, diving-just the words you use 'single-minded, powerful, skilled,...soaring above the unwashed masses. But ultimately fallen.' Such powerful, vivid imagery is present in your writing, and it fits the overall mood of the story so well!

Then when you said Cyclonis's appearance made one think she needed to role up her cape a few times, I nearly burst out laughing. somehow, you managed to include such humor without breaking the mood!

I think that's one of the great appeals of this story to me: each sentence is well-crafted and honed, each word gives the feel of being chosen carefully, and yet they all fit together to perfectly. Everything flows, the mood, the tone, is unbroken. It's only when you take a more careful look that you realize just how precious such a work is, and just how talented an author one must be to create such a piece...on napkins nonetheless.

Thank YOU. Thank you for writing me this, thank you for believing in me, thank you for never giving up even if you didn't have people believing in you. Let me tell you, whether they supported you or not, one day you are going to be great, at whatever you chose to do. You have the brains, you have the talent.

Well, I wanted to say how amazing I thought this was, and I think I went overboard a little bit. (okay, more than a little). Truly, this is such a great work, and I can't thank you enough!
