I really love this story. (Still can't believe I didn't review it before!) But the sad ending is more likely that the happy one. As much I love Arthur, I think Merlin shouldn't forgive him. Rape is unforgivable. In love or not.
But it's still a nice story :)

I thought It wasn't possible to hate Arthur! Guess I was wrong xD
I think I would go for the Sad ending! Because no one who clams to love you could possibly hurt you in the way that Arthur did with Merlin. No excuses! As for the hopeful ending, I think you don't need anyone telling you the future to stop yourself from doing that! but it was nice to have.
And for the Happy Ending! well you gotta hate yourself that much to grant the abusive partner even more power over you!

Loved most of this story. I'd have loved for you to have stopped with the "Hopeful Ending". I definitely found the "Happy Ending" completely unrealistic. People with very low self-esteem will stay with an abusive partner "because I love him" but it's not love, it's a deep-seated belief that they deserve the abuse. Kinda ooc for Merlin, I don't think his self-esteem is that bad. I think he'd have done a runner the first time Arthur raped him. If his SE was that bad and he did stay, sorry, it wouldn't be "an endless love". It'd be endless abuse, probably to the point where Arthur killed Merlin or Merlin finally would run. Abusers don't just magically wake up and stop abusing one day. It'll happen again.

I think out of all the endings the first (the sad) was the best. It had the most emotion, ending 2 just wasn't satisfying and ending 3 was so unrealistic.
Though that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy reading them. ^_^

k good story, horrible tale XD liked the alternate endings tho. happy wasn't that great because merlin REALLY shouldn't have forgiven him. i liked the hopeful one most, as Arthur never actually did anything and your expecting something happy. The sad one was really good tho XD well written and a lot more believable if you know what i mean, having said that it was miserable and im glad you added the others XD

I really do love this! You won't believe how hard it is to find a decent fic of Arthur raping Merlin! Plus the Will reference was just too great! I always knew Will and Merlin's "friendship"(at least that's what they tell themselves) would cause Arthur to do something akin to rape whether out of jealousy or some possessive issues I didn't really care as long as the outcome is hot! So yippee for writing this. I'm reading the next chapters now! Xd
