I loved this story! An interesting portrayal of Sakura, with convincing, realistic characteristics to prove her character. Ah, Itachi, the overgrown, cuddly panther-like person, gotta love the cat-naps!
I don't know if you did a sequal to this story (I suppose I'll find out in a few minutes) but if motivation ever hits ya, I hope you continue Sakura's and Itachi's story! (Has Danzo 'gone missing' yet? For that matter, have any of the council members? *puppy-dog eyes asking 'please say yes!'*)

this was a good story, and i wish you haddn't left it so short...
but you are very right other stories need to be done before others.
