Oh my God! It bothers me so much that Christopher didn't answer his phone either. He's being such a baby about it! A nice look at his stupidity in this episode. I think the last line-"Why are you never here?"-summed it up very well.

Chris can just go die. Sometimes he's amazingly charming and wonderful and I see him interacting with Lorelai and just thing "wow, they're so good for each other" and then they actually get into a relationship, and it doesn't work! Luke, at least, is always there when she needs him. He doesn't always let her be there for him when HE needs HER, but he's really good at giving of himself. This is why I ship JJ, not BB!

I always wanted to like Chris but he was a jerk in this episode. Although in the days before everyone had cell phones someone would have thought to call his home phone, work phone, and his mom's house. BTW, I have observed that men sometimes just shut down in emotional situations. My husband has occasionally done shutting the cell phone off thing (for a few hours not for days). No excuses but that is my observation.
