Another wonderful story by you! I absolutely love it. I like how you notice those small details. Like that vulnerable look on Harriet's face when Laura gives her the silver bowl.
The ending is magnificent:
"He loved her enough to want her to be the best person she could. He loved her enough not to coerce her into changing but to simply show her there was another way to live. He loved her enough to her to know he would always love her even if she never changed."
So sweet and beautiful! I really do hope that you will write more of these. I love them! :)
