If there was a way to favorite something again and again so you would know how much of a favorite it really is, I would do that to this story. John taking care of Sam competently and with real love, I didn't know how much I needed it until I read this. Thank you!

aww it was so beautiful. i really love reading caring john n sick sammy stories. most of them have bad john and its nice to read a good john for a change :-)

Aww... Sometime John-love IS needed.
I loved this story! The family interaction between John and Sam ("Family. Family worries, and that's okay."), and Sam and Dean (It was weird actually and nothing the kid could ever explain but he just slept better if he'd talked with his brother first)... I just loved it all! Your portrayals were perfect!
John's last few sentences were very touching. You did a very good job of making it clear that John doesn't do this sort of thing very often, but that it's obvious to Sam that he's loved always. (And the comment about Dean being a mother-hen made me smile!)
Definitely adding this one to favorites! Thank you for sharing this with us!
