A week just flew by reading both HBR and ABD and I just wonder why on earth didn't I read them before. Being a fan of threesome and poly stories and having read most of them, I was very happy to find new stories in the genre. At the same time I think that your BDSM felt the most realistic in this fandom. I loved your creativity in the scenes. The pervy me was only put off by the scene with nettles really. I loved how they had different kinds of limits and how B grew within the story. I just hated what J did to B and E but was so glad how you highlighed the forgiveness you have to have in life to your best friends and how great friendship can also be a base for love.
At times the story seemed to be only about sex but I was glad that there was a lot of the psychological growth of the characters as well. And your lemons surely weren't boring. The only thing I missed was the I love you shared between the three in them so that they all were there. Even though the love between B and J might have been different, but still the romantic in me missed it. E and J said it only once! And I would like to read more about their lives together because I didn't want this story to end even though last nighht I kept on reAding it till 5 in the morning. There just aren't enough threesome/poly stories in this fandom. I read ons your fb page that you will rewrite these babies and publish them! That is great news and I'm sure that I will buy a copy because your writing is so much better than that of nany other published ff authors who have had success. You deserve some success too! Once again thanks a lot for sharing these babies! I'm sure I won't be reading them for the last time!

wow...I just finished this one...damn they certainly had some trials and tribulations! I must say that I loved the character of Beth! I could see her in her Domme persona and her attraction/comfort/love of Bella. Alice...what a biatch...and I love Alice normally! thank you for all of the hard work and effort! Merry Christmas...Lisa

Wow! I loved both Heartbreak Remedy and A Beautiful Disaster so much. I loved how you created fully dimensional characters that I could love one chapter, be frustrated with the next, want to write them off and then bring it around full circle. Your Edward and Bella are definitely better and more forgiving than me because I certainly never would have wanted to repair my relationship with either Jasper or Alice given their actions but I certainly was able to understand that choice thanks to your exquisite writing that illuminated each of their emotional struggles, bonds, and rationale for why they would.
On the topic of BDSM...I've read a lot of BDSM fics but these two stories together make me think that this is the first realistic one that I've read. The characters aren't running around calling each other Master for shits and giggles or their involvement with BDSM isn't some mask for dealing with more fundamental issues of crappy childhoods, abusive relationships, whatever. That BDSM is a more organic part of their identity. I also found the scenes fascinating and often found myself trying to think about how I would react feel about participating in those. I loved the way you made all of them have different limits and types of play they could embrace or get off on and compromise when they didn't match up perfectly.
I find the dynamics of power exchange extremely fascinating (and would probably most closely identify with Jasper in this respect) and you did a wonderful job of writing the kink but also truly illuminating the emotional/psychological aspects that are probably more important. Lots to think about.
Eagerly anticipating the conclusion of TEMC and hope that you'll be writing something new soon! I've enjoyed getting to know you a bit via Twitter and will see you there soon!

I usually don't leave these types of reviews but I totally agree with Edward here. Bella overheard the whole 'seduction' and while yes, Edward momentarily succumbed - and yes, hitting Bella in all of her insecure spots - the fact that Jasper methodically and mercilessly orchestrated the whole scenario abusing his knowlege of Bella's insecurities and taking advantage of his inside knowlege of both Bella and Edward to me is the most unforgivable violation of her trust. Obviously, Bella must be either a better person than me - or a bigger idiot - because Jasper would totally be dead to me. I would totally be able to rationalize Edward kissing and groping Jasper given their recent sexual history and understanding that he's a highly sexualized person regardless...I'm not saying I wouldn't be hurt especially if I'd been open and up front about my insecurities of being enough to satisfy all of his sexual needs as a woman and a sub.
For a minute I was also sympathetic to the whole Alice situation because she did tell Bella that Jasper was her soulmate blah blah blah and according to whatever the girl code is Bella should probably have ceased all sexual contact with him and not tried to slip an extra one in under the wire. However, Jasper and Alice both behaved with reckless abandon towards their bond it seems almost impossible to understand how anyone outside of that should have taken it remotely seriously...they didn't have a real track record nor had declared their mutual everlasting fidelity. As Edward points out, Jasper's despicable plan of keeping Alice faithful while he continued to whore around really undermines any validity to that relationship. If I were Alice he'd be dead to me too.
I only have a whisper's breath more understanding of how Bella can forgive Alice because she's a judgemental, blind, bitch.
Ehhh...long story short...Edward is right. He's not dodging responsibility for his actions or trying to justify them but everyone else seems to be getting a pretty easy ride on the forgiveness train and it would totally grate me the wrong way too. Of course, it's about time he used his big boy words and put it out there rather than all this emotional self-flagellation. But I guess he likes the whip physically why not get off on the emotional torture too!
In case, you haven't guessed...really love these two stories!
