Rather short chap here and I hope Dante and Lady will true partners instead of the usual Lady shooting Dante for the smallest childish reasons...which is NOT funny or comical...most fics go by that default setting for Lady like Dante tease her and she shoots him...what kind of partner or friend does that? (this was just a heads up)
Dante does have some edge over Kain like He can FLY in his demonic form (as shown in DMC2,DMC1 original),don't need to consume blood,supernatural senses like see in the dark and Teleportation (trickster) similar like his bro Vergil.
when you put DMC and Vampire elements you gotta put in some supernatural qualities of the character,most authors somehow forget Dante's Supernatural abilities turning him Human.
Anyway looking forward for more updates ...its been quite long.

The chapter is not too bad. The story, tension, spacing all good. I like Dante, and his witty, sometimes sarcastic remarks.
There is one thing that I would like to see though, and that is longer chapters. This one is about 480 - 500 words; far too short to get a reader involved. It ends, just when one kind of settles into the story.
You "kind of" created a cliffhanger, but get the readers to shout: "update please!"
You have wonderful characters to work with. Describe the characters, the movement, and the action. Describe Kain's rampage.
Ask, why would one this story, rather than one of the other fics?
I would like to see more, honestly. Each line, sentence, paragraph and chapter tells its unique story.
