Yet another amazingly insightful glimpse into the Winchester men. Dean's single-minded committment to Sam's well being is something I myself consider often, and I think you described it, and it's roots, excellently. Another great piece!

I love it when people get inside of Dean's brain. I don't know why, I just do. I like number 3 the best I think. Its succinct, but it implies a great deal; that Dean never treated Sam any differently because of it and never ratted him out. Also, for some reason it makes me think of Dean heaving a big, long suffering sigh, and that image always makes me giggle.
