Sigh. A great ending to a great story. Lots of ups and downs, excitement, tension, and quiet moments as well. Would like to see a sequel when hopefully Fuchs manages to survive the end of the war and he is reunited with his family. And that he has the courage to tell Hogan what he saw in the camps.

I can see hogan feeling like he was a parent, seeing as some of thesemen were in their early twenties. As to carter, I like your mention of his officer's rank As seen in the pilot. He couldn't pull off everything he does without having some maturity and skill.

I have no idea why my pen name got so screwed up there for ch one. I am on an iPod touch and it acts weird sometimes. Hogan was pale. Lol. I could just see him putting his arm around Andrews shoulder and saying " carter, my boy". You like to put Fuchs through the wringer, don't you?
