I would ask for my size 10 combat boots, but I'd never wear them, as they too closely resemble the hiking boots that seem to be the footwear of choice for all the rednecks here in HICKSVILLE. /woot hometown pride (not). I'll stick with my Nike Shocks (in lime green, no less.)

This reminds me heavily of my magic marry janes. They weren't really fancy but they weren't with everything.
I had them since I was 8 (now I'm 15) and they just always fit. I had to retire them this year because I wore holes in them all the way through *mopes*

wow, i actually hate sadie (well, i say i do. i guess she is okay, but anyone who takes up more than half of a book that CARTER is supposed to be telling, then they are NOT OKAY in my book.) but i really liked this fanfic. maybe it was because carter was in it at the very end, or maybe it was just because she got blisters from her treasured boots...it was just awesome! well written, and that's something coming from a non-sadie fan. though i must disagree that carter is self pitiful, because he's not. he was just going through a lot and had a way more difficult life than mrs. perfect sadie. but, as you can probably tell, i LOVE CARTER TOO! you must write a fanfic about carter or even better, carter and zia! i can only imagine how awesome it would be! :) please please please write a carter or carter and zia fanfic (maybe the next book?) because in case you haven't noticed...you are AWESOME!
