Oh, that was heartfelt. And very very true. My mother, if not myself, subscribes to the belief that everything happens for a reason. And one has to wonder what would have happened to Mossflower and Boar the fighter if Rose had survived. And of course to the entire 'Redwall' collection. I have a feeling that Rose was destined to die as soon as she was created.

I wonder if Martin's vision was some sort of 'what if' scenario his mind was playing out? After all, we know from the book that Noonvale wasn't destroyed. I liked how you left that point a little vague.
