Sparkles? You gotta be kiddin me here. It just isn't realistic for the girl to be referred to as Sparkles. Jack would be rather die than be caught calling somebody Sparkles. The unfortunately named girl would be teased mercilessly. Probably by Spot. Hell, Spot would probably wack 'er with his cane and knock her all the way to the place where all the other unoriginal female characters who all claim to be Jack's lover reside.
ANd since when is the relationship between Jack and Sarah 'awful'? It's a relationship, and calling it 'the awful truth' just makes your main character sound bratty.

I LOVE this. What an interesting story. I absolutely cannot wait to find out what happens next. You definitely have to write more. This is so cool. :-) This story is definitely going in my favorites folder. You are great.
